Justin Tucker has been the best kicker in the NFL in 2016, and it hasn’t been particularly close. Now his season will go down as one of the best of all-time after the Baltimore Ravens kicker connected with his tenth field goal of 50 yards or more Sunday.
Justin Tucker ties record for 50-yard field goals in a season
Justin Tucker has been the NFL’s best kicker in 2016 by a wide margin.

With a 53-yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles, Tucker tied the record for most field goals of 50 or more yards in a season. The record was previously held alone by Blair Walsh, who made the first 12 kicks of his career of 50 yards or more, and finished his rookie year with the Minnesota Vikings 10-of-10 from the distance.
Prior to Walsh, who set the record in 2012, the NFL’s all-time leading scorer, Morten Andersen, made eight in his All-Pro season in 1995.
Tucker is 162-of-162 on extra point attempts in his career and has made 32 of 33 field goal attempts in 2016.
