Texans get 1st points after safety on a Jaguars hold in end zone

Whatever it takes!

The Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars game has been all kinds of interesting, but we had one particularly weird play with the Jaguars punting from their own end zone.

Upon receiving the snap, Jaguars punter Brad Nortman got hit, and flags started flying from referees. It appeared that roughing was going to be called, with Nortman flying to the ground.

But the Jaguars actually held in the end zone, and when a team holds in their own end zone, that counts as a safety. It gave the Texans their first two points of the game. They would tack on a field goal before the end of the half.

A 13-5 score seems appropriate for this game going into the half.
