The Tennessee Titans played in a tough environment against one of the league’s hottest teams in the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, and it was a wild one.
Titans tried terrible 2-point conversion to take the lead against Chiefs and it failed
The Titans really shot themselves in the foot here.

Down 17-10, the Titans converted on a crucial 4th and 5 when Marcus Mariota found DeMarco Murray, who put the Titans on the Chiefs’ 1-yard line. The next play, Derrick Henry punched it in for the touchdown to make it 17-16.
The Titans then decided to go for two, but the play went in the worst way possible, and they didn’t convert.
The play appeared to be an awful decision at the time. They came into the game tied with the Houston Texans atop the AFC South at 7-6, with the Indianapolis Colts winning this afternoon against the Minnesota Vikings to move to 7-7. Most teams in that situation would take the extra point, and play for overtime.
The Chiefs had not been able to move the ball well in the second half, raising plenty of questions as to just why not just kick the extra point.
As it turns out, the play wouldn’t matter, as the Titans ended up kicking the game winning field goal, after Andy Reid called timeout before their first miss.
