Wentz was driven into the ground, taking a hard hit to his head in the third quarter.

Wentz was driven into the ground hard and was slow to get up. His helmet went right into the turf on the hit, and he exited the game. Wentz looked shaky when he stood up. Teammate Jason Peters took notice and directed Wentz to the sideline, where he could be evaluated by the training staff.
The Eagles announced Wentz would be evaluated for a head injury. Wentz left for the locker room for further assessment shortly after being examined by the training staff on the sideline, but returned after Chase Daniel finished off the drive he exited on.
Daniel came into the game with the Eagles leading 21-16. When Wentz exited the game, he’d completed 11 of 19 passes for 140 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Daniel last took significant regular season snaps with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 when he completed 16 of 27 passes with no touchdowns or interceptions.
Wentz was the second overall pick by the Eagles in the 2016 NFL draft. They traded a ton of capital to move up and take Wentz, who has had a decent rookie season. He started the season with an impressive streak of not throwing an interception, but going into Thursday’s game he had 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
