Fantasy owners know what’s at stake at this point of the season, and when the Jaguars take on the Titans, there are lots of volatile options that won’t sit well in the nervous stomachs of those competing for fantasy league championships. Let’s take a look at the options for one of Saturday’s games:
Fantasy football advice, Week 16: Who to start/sit for Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for a Week 16 AFC South matchup.

Tennessee Titans
Start ‘em
DeMarco Murray, who was annoyingly vultured by Derrick Henry for a pair of touchdowns in Week 15, remains a top-flight RB1 option in a bounce-back spot against the Jaguars. Though the Jaguars have held opponents to just 3.8 yards per carry in 2016, Murray went off against them during their first meeting, totaling 128 yards and a touchdown amid a game in which he suffered an injury. Murray and tight end Delanie Walker can both be penned into lineups, with each presenting high upside at their respective positions.
Start ‘em?
Marcus Mariota is a tough assignment for interim Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone to plan against, although Mariota has a difficult opponent to plan against as well. In their first meeting this season, Mariota annihilated the Jaguars’ fourth-ranked pass defense for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns while attempting just 22 passes. However, he hasn’t kept up his torrid pace from the middle of the season. The Jaguars’ sharp pass defense remains a concern for Mariota owners, but his upside is worth taking a shot on despite having three consecutive weeks outside of the top-12 quarterbacks.
Sit ‘em
A volatile receiving corps of Rishard Matthews, Tajae Sharpe, and Kendall Wright will be hard to count on in a tough matchup. Matthews is the most attractive of the three, but isn’t anything more than a boom-or-bust flex option at best.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Start ‘em
The name “Allen Robinson” may as well be a four-letter word to fantasy owners who used a high draft pick to acquire him in fantasy leagues, which is why it’s baffling to even suggest that he has upside for championship week. Robinson, despite logging no more than 31 yards in a game over his last five contests, gets the benefit of a Titans pass defense that ranks 29th in the NFL and has allowed more fantasy points to opposing receivers than every team except the Packers. Robinson posted a modest but serviceable 6-70-0 line on the Titans in their first matchup of the season and is back in the WR3/flex conversation. His teammate, Marqise Lee, remains the preferred option and is a WR2.
Sit ‘em
With Chris Ivory back in action, T.J. Yeldon is no longer in play as a flex option. Blake Bortles hasn’t been a viable fantasy option for most of 2016, and that remains the case in Week 16 even against a crumbling Titans secondary.
