Fantasy owners know what’s at stake at this point of the season, and when the Cardinals take on the Seahawks, there are lots of volatile options that won’t sit well in the nervous stomachs of those competing for fantasy league championships. Let’s take a look at the options for one of Saturday’s games:
Fantasy football advice, Week 16: Who to start/sit for Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for a Week 16 NFC West clash.

Arizona Cardinals
Start ‘em
Everyone was allowed to be started for the Cardinals’ offense in Week 15 in their 48-41 loss to the Saints, but one extreme goes to another as the Seahawks’ defense awaits. David Johnson and slot receiver Larry Fitzgerald should be able to navigate through the brunt of the Seahawks defense, but any expectation to match the output against the Saints would be misguided.
Sit ‘em
Even with Earl Thomas out of action, starting Carson Palmer and J.J. Nelson would not be advisable against what remains a stout Seahawks defensive unit.
Seattle Seahawks
Start ‘em
Fantasy owners wouldn’t have known it solely based on Week 15, but the Cardinals boast the NFL’s No. 5 pass defense. However, Russell Wilson, who has turned a corner from a severe midseason slump, has the benefit of getting a Cardinals defense that will be without Tyrann Mathieu as well as Marcus Cooper. It could spread Patrick Peterson thin once again, leaving room that wouldn’t usually be there for Doug Baldwin, Jimmy Graham, and Tyler Lockett to thrive. All three can be considered start-worthy options, with Lockett presenting the most risk, but arguably the biggest upside. Wilson remains a locked-in QB1, and running back Thomas Rawls deserves RB2 consideration as well.
Sit ‘em
Though the Seahawks offense has shown rejuvenation, fantasy owners would be wise to steer clear of Jermaine Kearse and Luke Willson as usual.
