San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. He will miss the 49ers’ Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Carlos Hyde sprains MCL in 49ers vs. Rams game
The running back will miss the final game of the season.

Luckily for Hyde, the injury will not require surgery.
“The fact that it’s a non-surgical thing is the one thing that’s positive,” 49ers coach Chip Kelly said. “It’s unfortunate that we won’t have him for Seattle, but it’s good news for Carlos.”
On Saturday, Hyde left the game and stood on the sideline for a few minutes, but was then taken to the locker room for further evaluation.
At the time of Hyde’s injury, the 49ers were trailing the Rams 14-7, but the 49ers pulled out the 22-21 win in the final minute.
Hyde was injured after catching a short pass from quarterback Colin Kaepernick and promptly fumbling it. The play was initially ruled an incomplete pass, but the Rams challenged the ruling, and it was reversed.
Prior to injury, Hyde had 13 carries for 38 yards. He added 15 yards and a touchdown on three receptions.
Hyde will end his season 12 yards shy of the 1,000-yard mark. In 13 games, he carried the ball 217 times for 988 yards and six rushing touchdowns.
Against Seattle, the 49ers will have Shaun Draughn, DuJuan Harris and Mike Davis available at running back.
