The Dallas Cowboys were cruising on offense against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, but an injury to left tackle Tyron Smith could bring any excitement to a screeching halt.

He will be ready for the playoffs, though.


Smith came into the game with a knee injury, and it certainly didn’t help when he was cut at his knees. He was slow to get up, and walked off gingerly.
The Cowboys said that Smith was questionable to return with the right knee injury, but it turns out he would be fine, as indicated by Jerry Jones after the game.
Tuesday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport indicated that Smith had sprained his MCL, and while he would miss Week 17, is going to be fine for the postseason.
Emmett Cleary came into the game for Smith, and the offense didn’t miss a beat. But the Cowboys are certainly going to be glad one of the anchors of their offense will be good to go moving forward.
