Editor’s update: Matthews is not expected to play, per Ian Rapoport.
Jordan Matthews injury update: WR questionable for Eagles, fantasy owners [Update]
The Eagles’ thin receiver group badly needs Jordan Matthews to play this Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles are listing Jordan Matthews as questionable vs. the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. The Eagles are not optimistic he plays and consider Matthews a true game-time decision, according to nj.com reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks.
Matthews suffered an ankle injury during the team’s Week 12 loss to the Green Bay Packers. It came on Monday night, leaving Matthews with a short week to recover.
The Eagles’ group of wide receivers is already one of the NFL’s worst. Not having Matthews would make it scary bad vs. a Bengals defense that does well against receivers.
Fantasy Impact: If Matthews plays, Yahoo! ranks him as the 30th-best receiver in Week 13. He would face a Cincinnati defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to receivers this season.
Even if Matthews is active, keep him on the bench this week. He is worth cutting in most leagues heading into the fantasy football playoffs.
