The Philadelphia Eagles want DeSean Jackson back. The team that gave him his start in the NFL is expected to pursue Jackson when he reaches free agency this spring, putting him back in green and white for the first time since 2013, according to Adam Schefter.
DeSean Jackson could be headed back to the Eagles
The Eagles reportedly want Jackson back when he’s a free agent in 2017.

Jackson was the Eagles’ second-round pick in 2008. He spent the next six seasons as Philadelphia’s dynamic deep threat, racking up 6,117 yards and 32 touchdowns during that time.
But when the Eagles hired Chip Kelly as their head coach in 2013, that marked the beginning of the end of Jackson’s time there. And their icy relationship didn’t thaw after Jackson was released. He once accused Kelly and the team of running a “smear campaign” against him when someone there hinted about his release being tied to possible gang connections.
Washington was more than happy to have Jackson, signing him to a three-year, $24 million deal. But Washington now has depth at the position, having drafted Josh Doctson in the first round in 2016. The team also has a looming deal with quarterback Kirk Cousins that isn’t likely to be a cheap one.
Jackson feels much better about Philly these days. He even has gone so far as to publicly praise head coach Doug Pederson, a branch of Andy Reid’s coaching tree.
Jackson has struggled with his health some over the last three years. He only played in 11 games last season and the one before that. He’ll be 31 in 2017.
