Percy Harvin likely expected his return to the NFL to produce much more than two receptions, but those may be the final receptions of the career of the 2009 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Percy Harvin’s return from retirement unceremoniously ends on injured reserve
Percy Harvin caught just two passes in his return to the NFL.

The Buffalo Bills placed Harvin on injured reserve Monday, just over a month after signing him in November. Plagued by injuries, including migraines, Harvin retired from the NFL during the 2015 season, but returned to sign with the Buffalo Bills, the team he played with a year prior.
But after only two games, Harvin began to experience the same migraine headaches that once slowed his promising, young career. After sitting out for two games, the Bills decided that Harvin wouldn’t be ready to contribute in the final four weeks.
“He was doing whatever he could to try to play, but I don’t know if that was in his best interest,” Bills coach Rex Ryan said. “We were trying to make sure he’s well.”
Harvin burst onto the scene as a first-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2009, tallying 790 receiving yards, 135 rushing yards, six receiving touchdowns, and two kickoff return touchdowns. His 2,081 all-purpose yards in 2009 are a Vikings franchise record, and he followed it with 1,908 yards and 1,832 yards in the next two seasons.
But his numbers tailed off in 2012 and he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks prior to the 2013 season. Since the beginning of 2013, Harvin has just three touchdowns.
Considering his continued battle with injuries and migraines that date back to 2010, it’s possible that Harvin’s most recent comeback attempt will be his last.
