Fantasy football rankings 2016: Running backs for PPR leagues, Week 14

Jordan Howard is quietly having a great season for a Bears offense that lacks firepower. That and more in this week’s PPR running back rankings.

Admittedly, I thought Jordan Howard was going to lose fantasy relevance heading into the playoffs. The Chicago Bears are now relying on Matt Barkley at quarterback, and Jeremy Langford is back after missing time due to injury.

But Howard has not only held on to his starting job, but he has quietly been one of the best running backs in fantasy football. He ranks ninth in fantasy scoring among running backs over the last five weeks.

Howard is coming off arguably his best game of the season, rushing for 117 yards and three scores vs. the San Francisco 49ers. He’s averaging 109.4 all-purpose yards over his last 10 games and has scored eight times in his last eight games.

Just because he plays for a team that could have a top-three pick in next year’s NFL draft, Howard is still a great fantasy weapon heading into the playoffs.
