Things got heated between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers in their late afternoon game during Week 13 in which the Steelers came out on top, 24-14. Steelers offensive guard Ramon Foster ignited a fight between the two teams, after it appeared Giants players were bending the neck of Le’Veon Bell. He was fined $9,115 for his involvement.
Steelers teammates will help pay Ramon Foster’s fine for protecting Le’Veon Bell
Bell was thankful his teammate was there to help him.
Giants linebacker Kelvin Sheppard looked to be the one to reach under Bell’s facemask, pulling backward and twisting his neck. Upon seeing this, Foster grabbed Sheppard, and threw him out of the pile.
This was the toss that got Foster fined:
The Steelers were up 14 when the incident happened. Bell was appreciative of his offensive linemen having his back.
Bell said, “I’m glad I got my guys. I call them my goons up front. They are down to ride with me whenever.”
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, a few teammates — specifically the offensive line — have offered to help pay the fine if Foster isn’t able to win on appeal.
That’s some great teamwork right there. Not only did they protect Bell, but they’ll help Foster pay for that protection if they need to.
