Following a 21-13 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr did not blame his bad performance on his dislocated right pinky. He suffered the injury two weeks ago against the Carolina Panthers.
Derek Carr’s performance against the Chiefs made him ‘feel sick to my stomach’
He wasn’t blaming his pinky either.

“It definitely wasn’t the finger’s fault,” Carr said.
Carr completed 17 out of his 41 passes for 117 passing yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, a season-low. The third-year signal caller said, “It was definitely a bad night, no way of getting around that.”
“I hate to have a bad night coming on this one, out of all the games we’ve had. Obviously, we didn’t do enough,” Carr said.
Carr said he felt responsible for the loss because he is the leader of the offense and team.
“I feel sick to my stomach when we put something like that out there on film. It hurts, I can promise you that. I put too much time into this to go do something like that.”
He said the Raiders defense stepped up and made plays, but not executing on offense was frustrating. However, Carr is not worried about it, predicting a quick bounceback for the team.
At 10-3, the Raiders are now tied for first in the AFC West with Kansas City, but the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker. Oakland will travel to San Diego to face a divisional foe in the Chargers for a Week 15 showdown.
