Morning Skate: Capitals have finally gotten over the Filip Forsberg trade
It still stings. But not as much.

Lace ‘em up. Time for the Morning Skate.
* * *
THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Every fanbase remembers that one talented player that got traded away just before he reached his full potential. For Washington Capitals fans, that player is Filip Forsberg.
Washington traded Forsberg (one of their best prospects) to Nashville in 2013. It was derided at the time, especially as Forsberg came close to winning the Calder Trophy last season. There was no doubt the trade was a sour memory for Capitals fans.
Funny how success salves old wounds.
