Manny Pacquiao’s win over Timothy Bradley on Saturday included knockdowns and flashes of “the old” Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KO) showed flashes of the brilliance that made him one of the top fighters in boxing history in this fight. While he wasn’t quite the Pacquiao of old, there were those moments where some of that fire was still evident. And for a fighter who says he’s retired at age 37 (although he’s clearly leaving the door open for a return), finding the spark to be as quick, strong, and well conditioned as he was in this fight is pretty special.
Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KO) had a strong game plan in the early rounds, and fought as well as one could have hoped that he would. The biggest problem for him in this fight was simply that he was facing Manny Pacquiao, who remains one of the very best in the world.
