Jordan Spieth had held the lead wire-to-wire at the Masters for the last two years. Until he stepped to the tee at No. 12, the most famous par-3 in the world, on Sunday. Spieth shanked his tee shot on the par-3 into the water.

It’s all unraveled for Jordan Spieth.
Coming off back-to-back bogeys, Spieth was beginning to leak. Then it turned into a complete and utter meltdown.
One of the very best golfers in the world who led after the last seven rounds of the Masters just hit back-to-back shots into the water while leading. Including an absurd chunk after taking a drop.
Spieth took another drop and while he avoided the water, he hit that long into the bunker. He ended up making a quadruple bogey seven. That dropped him from a one shot lead to three strokes behind Danny Willett. He isn’t even in second place at this point.
Spieth has had issues throughout the week, but has saved himself on the greens with some clutch putting. This time the issues before the green were just too big for him to avoid damage. It was an absolutely shocking result, made even more so when you realize it was Spieth’s first ever quadruple bogey on a par-3 as a professional.
