Franck Ribery’s stupid good bicycle kick goal isn’t even fair

It’s been a tough couple years for Franck Ribery.

The 32-year-old Bayern Munich staple has struggled to stay healthy, and seemingly every step forward in his rehabilitation comes with another one or two back.

Although he’s been the featured back with the German champions since the start of the second half of this season, he hasn’t looked like the legend-in-the-making he appeared earlier in his nine-year stint with the power club.

Saturday afternoon in Munich turned back the clock and the old Ribery was back and better than ever:

Bayern has a huge Champions League quarterfinal tilt against Portuguese side Benfica this coming Tuesday. If this same vintage Ribery is back for good, the first place team in the Bundesliga will only be more favored to advance to the semifinals of the world’s biggest club tournament.
