Neither guy really got going in the first round, pretty much even in the opening frame. We’ll see if anything bigger happens in the next three minutes.
Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2016 live results: Early rounds remain tentative
After a slow start, will round two see some fire from the fighters?
Bradley lands a decent left hook early in the round. Pacquiao shoots his straight left, again glancingly lands at best. Manny stalking somewhat, but not showing the fire of old, which at this point should not be expected, to be fair. Bradley with a little pot shot as the two tie up in close.
Body shot from Bradley gets in. Pacquiao goes to the body but misses, Bradley slipping that and landing a little right up top. Pacquiao retreating a bit as Bradley makes a little charge, nothing gets in from Bradley. Right now Tim Bradley looks a bit more comfortable, a bit closer to his best, while Pacquiao looks a little cold.
Pacquiao’s straight left lands at the upper chest a bit. Pacquiao again with a small shot, then misses a shot upstairs. A bit better round overall, and Manny got going a little.
