FIFA 16 Liga NOS and Saudi ALJ Pro League TOTS, the return of god-mode Elton
One of the most OP players in FUT15 makes his triumphant return.

For the second straight week, the EA Sports FIFA 16 development team have issued secondary Teams of the Season in the midst of a primary one (this week, the German Bundesliga).
This year introduces a new, first time ever Team of the Season, the Portuguese Liga NOS TOTS. In prior years, the Portuguese League had been part of the Rest of the World team, featuring the best players from leagues that didn’t have their own teams.
The Portuguese League’s own team means some big time names who’ve had tremendous informs throughout the FIFA cycle getting cards FUT collectors will love to get their hands on. Ninety-one overall Jonas, 90 Slimani, and 87 “Gullit Gang” Layun highlight a couple of the exciting inclusions in this year’s debut squad.
Sure, the Abdul Latif Jameel League doesn’t have the regional pizzazz of the English Lower Leagues or the familiar names from the top teams in the Netherlands in the Benelux. But last season, the first year they got their own Team of the Season, featured a few noteworthy, fun pack pulls, including one of the rarest (and arguably most fun to play with) cards in last year’s game, Brazilian five-star skiller, Élton.
Though some are probably still quipping as to ask why the ALJ is high profile enough to merit having its own TOTS, it’s worth remembering that the Middle East is one of the larger emerging regions of FIFA Ultimate Team players. Having their domestic league present is equal parts marketing and relationship building with an area that continues to see its footballing presence and influence grow.
EA’s brand expansion is our benefit, though, with, as expected, the 2015-16 champion Al-Ahli featured prominently in this awesome secondary TOTS. League top scorer, Syrian born Omar Al Soma, gets the card those who dug his inform have unquestionably been waiting for.
The Liga NOS and Saudi Pro League TOTS drop at 6 p.m. BST (1 p.m. ET). If last week is any barometer, expect a lightning round tomorrow evening, Tuesday, May 17, in the UK.
