FIFA 16 Liga BBVA TOTS sees Ronaldo upgraded to a 99 overall rating

Perhaps the most explosive Team of the Season to date is set to hit FIFA Ultimate Team this weekend.

While FIFA 16’s first two league all-star squads have commanded FUT fans’ time (and checkbooks), Liga BBVA’s is the first to feature multiple bonafide megastars. From Messi-Neymar-Suarez to Cristiano Ronaldo, the “Pack Party” is in full effect, with tons of the best players in the league responsible for both of Saturday, May 28’s Champions League final participants.

For the first time in recent FUT memory, as well, a Team of the Season card comes in higher than its Team of the Year equivalent. Ronaldo gets a 99 overall rating, joining Team of the Year Messi as the only two players at that threshold this FIFA.

Even some of the perhaps less household names amongst casual soccer enthusiasts from the Spanish La Liga check in with some of the most overpowered cards we’ve seen this Team of the Season cycle.

You can get your hands on all 23 members of the team beginning at 6 p.m. UK time (1 p.m. ET in the United States) on Friday, May 20. Like each of the last two weeks, it’s also probable there’ll be a Liga BBVA TOTS Cup with an unlockable 24th member of the Team of the Season available, as well.
