Preakness Stakes 2016 results: Full finishing order

Here are the full results for the 141st running at Pimlico.

Exaggerator won the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes on Saturday at Pimlico. With Nyquist, the Kentucky Derby winner, in the lead for much of the race, Exaggerator found a way to come from behind down the stretch and win the very muddy second leg of the Triple Crown.

Exaggerator’s jockey is Kent Desormeaux and trainer is Keith Desormeaux.

The 11-horse field with a couple of new contenders that didn’t run in the Kentucky Derby set up for an intriguing group to take on the Kentucky Derby winner. Nyquist was at 3-5 odds to win the second leg of the Triple Crown. Exaggerator was at 5-1 odds close to the race. Stradivari had the third best odds at 7-1.

The race carried a guaranteed minimum gross pay of $1.5 million for the entrants. Exaggerator will take home $900,000 as the winner. Second place receives $300,000 and third place takes home $165,000. Below is the full finishing order for this year’s Run for the Black-Eyed Susans:
