SAVE YOUR PREDICTIONS

Pie might be disgusting, but it sure can be humble sometimes. I don't know. I'm not good at ledes. Anyway, if you thought the Blues and Lightning were done for after a few conference final games, this past weekend served you a huge slice of humble pie. (There, I did it!)

St. Louis played their best game of the playoffs in Game 4 on Saturday and tied the Western Conference Final at 2-2. And the Lightning, without Steven Stamkos or Ben Bishop, rallied in Game 5 on Sunday to take a 3-2 series lead. For the first time in the playoffs, the Penguins look beatable. It probably doesn't help that Trevor Daley is out for the rest of the season. Three days ago, Pittsburgh and San Jose seemed destined for a Stanley Cup Final matchup. Now? Not so much.

TONIGHT’S PLAYOFF FUN:

FOUR YEARS?

The Bruins just signed defenseman Kevan Miller to a four-year, $10 million extension

THAT’S NOT THE OILERS I KNOW

Edmonton GM Peter Chiarelli recently spoke about owing it to the fans to get better in a “relatively short period of time”. That might mean trading their first round pick, which is music to Oilers’ fans ears.
