Motorcycle explodes and engulfs racers in fireball during Moto2 race

This is the scariest wreck we’ve seen in a long, long time -- and it’s a miracle nobody was seriously injured. A Moto2 race at Motorland Aragon in Spain was struck by near-tragedy when Xavi Cardelus fell off his bike entering a turn.

Everything looked okay for a moment, but then the bike’s fuel tank exploded in the middle of the pack. Several riders had medical attention, but all accounts from Spain indicate there were no serious injuries. How? We have absolutely no idea.
