The first Saturday in May is upon us and with it comes horse racing’s premier event, the Kentucky Derby. Over 100,000 fans will pack into the stands and infield at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., for the 142nd running of the Derby, with the main event set for a post time of 6:34 p.m. ET.

Nyquist (3-1 odds), Exaggerator (8-1), Mohaymen (10-1) and Creator (10-1) enter the feature event among the favorites, but there’s a full day of racing to get you set for the running of the Derby, both prior to and after the evening’s main event. The action begins at 10:30 a.m. ET and runs all the way through 8:05 p.m., providing plenty of entertainment and betting opportunities for horse racing fans.
Saturday’s full schedule sets up as follows (all times ET):

Race 2: 11:01 a.m.
Race 3: 11:31 a.m.
Race 4: 12:03 p.m.
Race 5: 12:35 p.m.
Race 6: 1:13 p.m.
Race 7: 1:55 p.m.
Race 8: 2:45 p.m.
Race 9: 3:35 p.m.
Race 10: 4:28 p.m.
Race 11: 5:25 p.m.

Nyquist will try to stay undefeated as he takes on an open field, but as you can see the schedule provides a full day of racing, including the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at 5:25 p.m.
