The start to Nyquist’s career has been nothing short of remarkable after a perfect 8-for-8, including this Kentuck Derby. With Mario Gutierrez as his jockey and Doug O’Neill as his trainer -- a combo that won the 2012 Kentucky Derby with I’ll Have Another, the possibility for a Triple Crown is in the card, however he’s not unbeatable.
The undercard was full of exciting racing as well with Divisidero edging out World Approval to win the Grade I Woodford Reserve Turf Classic. Earlier in the afternoon Taris won the Grade I Humana Distaff.
