Amir Khan appears to have banked the first two rounds with his speed.
Canelo again trying to step up the pressure, lands a hook, and Khan takes it fine. Khan with a jab to the body, left hook and right upstairs. Canelo struggling with the hand speed of Khan, no doubt about that. Canelo still struggling to get going in the first half of this round.
Alvarez is also sort of allowing Khan to do as he pleases at range. Canelo did this against Floyd Mayweather, fighting his opponent’s fight. Is it happening again? Canelo now trying to target the arms a bit, maybe slow Khan down just a bit and find an opening for something significant. Khan still moving laterally, making Canelo miss when he does throw a power shot, and then getting back on the move. Counter right from Canelo, Khan throwing in combination once again. Long right to the body from Canelo is a bit short. Khan with another fast shot up top, and that might have sealed the round for him.
