I’ve watched this FIFA GIF about four dozen times and it doesn’t become any less funny. This is GIF art. It’s perfection. It’s everything a GIF should be. I don’t know if it’s a glitch, nor do I care. Cubism didn’t need to be a glitch for Picasso to make something that changed the world.
It begins with Joe Hart dancing out of frame like a wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube man. His knees buckle together as if independent from his body, his arms are dancing to an entirely different song. One part jazz hands with just a hint of mid-90s party drug-fueled rave.
Never does Hart move off his line. Dude just Zoidbergs out of there like he doesn’t even want to play. Think that’s all my friends? Oh no, think again. After a perfect pause Nemanja Matić sees the open goal and skies it into the stands.
Can’t. stop. laughing.
