The diving and men’s gymnastics Olympic trials are almost over. The events, which will help shape the Olympic team representing the United States at the 2016 Rio Olympics, continue on Saturday, with the men’s gymnastics wrapping up. There will be another day of diving on Sunday, but that event will also wrap up, with swimming, track and field and women’s gymnastics to come later.

For diving, the men’s 3-meter springboard and women’s 10-meter platform finals are on the docket. Spots have already been awarded in synchronized events, with David Boudia, the only diving gold medalist for the United States in London back in 2012, pairing with Steele Johnson in the synchronized 10-meter event. Sam Dorman and Michael Hixon will represent the US in the synchronized 3-meter. Jessica Parratto and Amy Cozad led all women in the women’s synchronized 10-meter platform.

Solo spots are all that are up for grabs on Saturday. Dorman and Hixon will be competing against each other in the 3-meter, along with Kristian Ipsen and Troy Dumais, a pair of 2012 medalists whom they beat in the synchronized event. Parratto and Cozad will also be competing against each other in the 10-meter, with Parratto currently leading and Cozad in third behind Murphy Bromberg.

In the gymnastics, Sam Mikulak holds the lead after a full day of competition on Thursday. That day featured all six Olympic events -- the floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar -- and on Saturday all six events will be done again by all competitors. Mikulak was an Olympian in 2012 but he did not medal. Danell Leyva was the only US man to get a medal, taking a bronze in the all-around, and he is currently in third place behind Mikulak and Chris Brooks going into the final day of competition.

Saturday’s first event is the men’s 3-meter springboard, which begins at 4:30 p.m. ET and runs through 6 p.m. That will be broadcast on NBC, as will the women’s 10-meter platform, beginning at 8 p.m. and lasting an hour. The men’s gymnastics trials begin at 8 p.m. as well, though NBC will not pick up coverage on that until the women’s platform event finishes.

Finally, a live stream will be available for all events beginning when they start if you don’t want to miss anything. Those will be available via NBC Sports, with links available below.
