Portugal fan consoles France fan after Euro 2016

The pain of seeing your team lose in a championship game can only be amplified by watching it unfold in your own backyard. That’s precisely what happened in Euro 2016. French fans were devastated as they watched Portugal hoist the trophy in Saint-Denis, just outside Paris, following a 1-0 win on a goal that came in the 109th minute.
Amid the pain came one absolutely beautiful moment. A crushed France fan was sobbing by himself outside the stadium when a young Portugal fan walked over to offer his commiserations. At first, the fan was taken aback and shook his hand, but the little boy wanted to make sure the rival fan was OK. The two spoke for a moment, then had a long hug.
A tournament that opened with so much violence and hate ended in pure love. This is beautiful.
