On Saturday night an important national championship race took place in California and you probably didn’t know about it. The 21st running of the Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals went down at the Los Alamitos race course.
Some dogs clearly had their eyes on the prize better than others. The dog in blue obviously had the heart of a champion from the get-go, and deserved to win — but the real spunk was shown on the outside by a tiny dachshund in pink.
Watch how this little pupper starts to book it after realizing it’s down. The only shortcoming (pun unintended) was pulling up before the finish line. We still love you, dog in pink.
