Olympics swimming trials 2016 live stream: How to watch Team USA tryouts online

The USA Swimming Olympic Trials are almost done, with a full slate of events on Saturday.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

There are only two more days of USA Swimming Olympic Trials but still plenty of big events to go. The trials, which will determine the competitors who will represent the United States in the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics, have already seen top players Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky qualify.

All four of them are gold medalists, with Phelps being the most decorated US Olympian of all time having earned 18 gold medals over the years. On Saturday, the men’s 100-meter butterfly and 50-meter freestyle finals will take place alongside the women’s 200-meter backstroke and 800-meter freestyle finals. All of Saturday’s events will be live streamed via NBC Sports, with NBCSN carrying television coverage of the semifinals and finals on the day.

Phelps will be competing in the 100-meter butterfly finals. Lochte originally was in the event but dropped it to focus on the 200-meter individual medley, which held its finals on Friday. In the 200-meter backstroke finals, Franklin will be competing. She came up short in the 100-meter backstroke and competed in the 100-meter freestyle finals on Friday. She already qualified for the Olympics in the 200-meter freestyle earlier in the trials.

Ledecky, possibly the most dominant woman in swimming today, already qualified in the 200- and 400-meter freestyles, and will participate in the 50-meter freestyle prelims and semifinals on Saturday in addition to the 800-meter freestyle finals.

Saturday’s events will be broadcast in three different blocks. The first, containing prelims, will begin at 11 a.m. and run about three hours. It will not be broadcast on television but will be available via live stream. The second block begins at 5 p.m. and will run about 90 minutes. That block will be broadcast on NBCSN, as will the third block, beginning at 8 p.m. and also running about 90 minutes. Live streams of both of those blocks will be available, with links below.
