Godzilla might be great at terrorizing Tokyo, but it turns out he’s terrible at one thing: Kicking goals. The release of Godzilla: Resurgence is looming in Japan, which means trotting out the big green dude onto a soccer pitch and seeing what he’s got (or, what his mascot form can do).
The key problem was going for the tail kick. It really feels like this is the first time this poor mascot has ever worn the costume. They miss it by a solid mile. It’s so sad that ‘Zills needed to be bailed out by a dude in a suit.
Fun fact: If someone in a suit ever needs to bail you out in an athletic endeavor you’ve done messed up.
