Olympics swimming trials 2016 live stream: How to watch Team USA tryouts online

Here’s how you can watch the final day of Olympic swimming trials online.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

As with every day of the USA Swimming Olympic trials thus far, NBC Sports will carry a live stream of the final day of events. This includes the 50-meter freestyle finals for the women and the 1,500-meter freestyle finals for the men. The latter is a grueling race that can last more than 15 minutes and is definitely worth watching going into Sunday.

Connor Jaeger is the man to watch after he came in just under the 15-minute mark in his preliminary heat on Saturday. Jaeger has already punched a ticket to Rio, having won the 400-meter freestyle event earlier in the trials. Jaeger’s time of 14:58.59 was very impressive and was the best in the preliminaries, with Jordan Wilimovsky going second-fastest in 15:05.89.

Michael McBroom went third-quickest in 15:07.42 and will be one to watch on Sunday, as well. Wilimovsky has already punched his ticket to Rio in the 10-kilometer open water race. Sean Ryan, who will also compete in that race, failed to qualify in the 1,500-meter freestyle on Saturday.

Madison Kennedy lead the way in the 50-meter freestyle during the preliminaries on Saturday. She was the top-ranked American in the event going into the trials and all eyes should be on her for the finals on Sunday. Simone Manuel and Abbey Weitzeil are also names to keep an eye on.
