USA Track & Field Olympic trials: Time, TV schedule and events for Friday

The women’s 100-meter hurdles finals will be held at the USA Track and Field Olympic trials on Friday. The US took home silver and bronze medals in the event in 2012.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The women’s 100-meter hurdles were a strength for the United States at the 2012 London Olympics, with three women representing the country finishing in the top four, though a gold medal eluded them. Dawn Harper, then the defending champion in the event after taking a gold medal in Beijing, was edged out by Sally Pearson by just .02 seconds for another gold medal.

Harper took the silver medal, while Kellie Wells finished in third for the bronze. Lolo Jones finished fourth, missing the podium but solidifying relative dominance in the event for the USA. At the US Track and Field Olympic trials on Friday, Team USA will hopefully look just as promising as it forms for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Harper will be competing in the same event at the trials on Friday. The men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase and men’s discus throw finals will also be on display on the day.

Friday’s television coverage will be represented by two blocks, starting with NBCSN’s coverage at 6 p.m. ET with the men’s discus throw finals. That coverage will last two hours before NBC starts up their coverage with the women’s 100-meter hurdles and men’s steeplechase finals, which should run about an hour. Both blocks will be available via live stream at NBC Sports, with links below.

The NBC Sports streams will be a simulcast of the television coverage. The full list of events for the day, including those that will not be available for viewing, is below.
