Michael Phelps’ final Olympic swim takes place on Saturday night, and it may be the most watched event of the 2016 Summer Olympics.

It’s (probably) Michael Phelps’ last race. Don’t miss USA Swimming’s attempt to keep its streak of always winning the 4x100m medley relay alive on Saturday night.
The most decorated Olympian of all time, modern day or historic, will make his swan song in the 4x100m medley relay in hopes of pushing USA Swimming to its ninth straight win in the discipline. The Americans haven’t lost the event since 1980 when the U.S. boycotted the Moscow Games. To date, it’s the only time a team not wearing stars and stripes has stood atop the podium.
The women’s team hasn’t been as dominant. In the past 16 years, they’ve split their time at the top with Australia. The Aussies look like their toughest competition in Rio de Janeiro, but it would be tough for any team in any era to catch a USA Swimming team on a hot streak that would scorch a desert.
Elsewhere, Brazil and Colombia will square off on the pitch in a soccer matchup between South American powerhouses. 2008 beach volleyball gold medalist Phil Dalhausser, delightfully nicknamed the “Thin Beast,” pairs up with Nick Lucena in his quest to return to the podium. They’ll square off against Austria’s Robin Seidl and Alexander Huber in a round of 16 matchup that will leave one team a step closer to Olympic glory.
