Katie Ledecky is just 19 years old, but the four-time gold medalist in Rio is about to begin a post-Olympics life of inspiring kids even younger.
Young Katie Ledecky looked up to Michael Phelps. The next generation will look up to Ledecky
Ledecky is ready to inspire others.

It was 10 years ago when Ledecky was pictured getting an autograph from Michael Phelps. In 10 years we’ll probably be taking a look to see the next new big-time Olympian in a picture with Ledecky.
“I had never dreamed of going to the Olympics,” said Ledecky. “I had no clue how to even qualify. I just continued to set goals. One day going to the Olympics was my goal.”
She’s done a little more than her goal of just going to the Olympics, taking gold in the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle and 4 x 200m freestyle as well as a silver in the 4 x 100 freestyle.
“You just have to dream big and work hard and big things can happen.”
