Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told reporters on Monday that wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has “a chance to play this week,” in Seattle. Patterson did not see the field during the Vikings first preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals last Friday.
Cordarrelle Patterson could play Thursday vs Seahawks, could be deep sleeper for fantasy owners
Cordarrelle Patterson is still recovering from a minor shoulder injury, we break down the fantasy implications.

The Vikings receiver has been recovering from a minor shoulder injury that he suffered on the first day of practice at the team’s training camp in July.
Fantasy impact: Patterson’s fantasy value has really gone down the drain since his first NFL season in 2013. In his rookie season, he scored seven total touchdowns. Since then, he has only found the end zone twice in 32 games.
However, 2016 could be different for Patterson as he has been receiving praise from Minnesota’s coaches and players all offseason for his work ethic.
His involvement in the Vikings offense for 2016 will not be known for at least a few weeks into the season. Until then, Patterson fantasy value remains very, very low. Fantasy owners should likely stay away from drafting him unless they have some unusual infatuation with the receiver.
