Davor Stefanek of Serbia earned the gold medal in the men’s 66-kg Greco-Roman wrestling division at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Tuesday. He bested Migran Arutyunyan in the gold medal match, giving the Armenian the silver medal in the division.

Serbia and Aremenia took the final two Greco-Roman wrestling gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.


In the men’s Greco-Roman 98-kg division, Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia beat Yasmany Daniel Lugo Cabrera of Cuba, earning the gold medal. Lugo Cabrera took home the silver medal for that match.
In earlier 66-kg action, Shmagi Bolkvadze of Georgia earned the first of two bronze medals by downing Tomohiro Inoue of Japan. The second bronze medal went to Rasul Chunayev, who took down Hansu Ryu of South Korea. Chunayev and Stefanek both lost in the semifinals to go on to the bronze medal matches.
Cenk Ildem of Turkey earned one of the bronze medals in the 98-kg division, taking down Alin Alexuc Ciurariu of Romania. The other bronze medal match saw Ghasem Gholamreza Rezaei of Iran best Carl Fredrik Stefan Schoen of Sweden. Schoen was a loser in the second semifinal match, while Rezaei made his way up through the repechage rounds to win his bronze.
These were the two final Greco-Roman medals given out, as freestyle wrestling will take over on Wednesday.
