Four gold medals will be handed out at the track in Rio on Wednesday, with two finals in the women’s sprints headlining the action. The world’s best athletes will race for glory in the men’s steeplechase in the morning, and will sprint for gold in the women’s 200 meters and 100-meter hurdles in prime time. Plus, the women will leap for hardware in the long jump and Ashton Eaton will complete Day 1 of the decathlon.

Four Olympic champions will be crowned on Wednesday.
The men’s steeplechase closes out the morning session, as the U.S.‘s Evan Jager races for the Team USA’s first medal in the event since 1984. Emma Coburn of the U.S. gave the country its first-ever medal in the women’s steeplechase by finishing in the bronze medal position on Monday.
Coming back in the evening, the women will jump for medals in the long jump and Usain Bolt will race the semifinals of the 200 meters. Plus, Ashton Eaton will run the 400 meters, the final event of Day 1 of the decathlon, at 8:20 p.m. ET.
In the women’s 200 Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands, the reigning world champion, will take on newly minted 100-meter gold medalist Elaine Thompson of Jamaica. In the women’s 100-meter hurdles, all three U.S. women have a shot at winning a medal.
