Travis Benjamin is back at practice and already making a great impression. After a hamstring injury sidelined Benjamin for most of training camp, he returned to practice Tuesday for the San Diego Chargers, according to Chargers beat writer Michael Gehlken.
Travis Benjamin back from hamstring injury, fantasy value rising
We break down the fantasy football implications of Travis Benjamin shining at practice after returning from a hamstring injury.

Benjamin is coming off a breakout year with the Cleveland Browns, which helped earn him a four-year, $24 million deal with San Diego this year. He’s already drawing praise from Philip Rivers, who will be far and away the best quarterback Benjamin has ever had, not to mention a great combination.
Rivers is a gunslinger who likes to air it out when he has receivers who can stretch the field. With Keenan Allen doing most of his damage in the short-to-intermediate routes, Benjamin should have plenty of opportunities for deep bombs from Rivers.
Fantasy Spin: If Benjamin can stay healthy, he could be primed for a big year in this offense. He did great last year while dealing with the mess of Browns quarterbacks, so one would think having Rivers tossing the rock would at least allow Benjamin to produce similar numbers.
His current ADP has Benjamin being a mid-to-late-round pick in many fantasy football leagues. His upside could have him producing at a WR3 level this season if the Chargers remain a pass-heavy offense. Benjamin could even reach WR2 level if the injury-prone Allen goes down.
Make an effort to get Benjamin as the third or fourth receiver you draft in your leagues. His potential to put up big numbers is too great to pass on then.
