The annual Lamar Miller hype train is back. Mike Freeman of CBS and Bleacher Report says than an NFL scout told him that Miller would lead the NFL in rushing for the 2016 season.
Lamar Miller fantasy hype train returns; leading NFL in rushing?
We break down the fantasy football impact of Lamar Miller, who is once again projected to have a big season.

That seems like a preposterous claim for a player who has never rushed for 1,100 yards (hit 1,099 in 2014). Miller has also recorded just 10 touchdowns once in his NFL career, which came in 2015.
However, Miller does have a career rushing average of 4.6 yards per carry. He was never given the chance to thrive in Joe Philbin’s offense, something the Houston Texans appear committed to doing for him in 2016.
That should be the case based on the contract they gave Miller. His contract currently gives him the fourth-most guaranteed money of any NFL running back. It also helps that Miller has fit in well with his new team so far.
Fantasy Spin: In 2015, the NFL’s top five rushing leaders 266 attempts for the season. If Miller were to get that many touches in 2016 with his career rushing average, that would put him at about 1,224 yards this year.
That’s probably the optimistic side of what Miller will do in 2016. He doesn’t have any other running backs making a strong case for touches in Houston, so Miller does have a great chance to be their workhorse back.
With Miller also being a threat out of the backfield, he should be capable of being your RB2 and producing at a high level week to week with RB1 potential. His current ADP is still too high, and I would not consider him until late in Round 2 or into Round 3 of your fantasy football draft.
