The New York Jets are eagerly awaiting the return of Matt Forte. A hamstring injury sustained before the start of training camp has made Forte a spectator for most of camp and the preseason.
Matt Forte working back from injury, bargain fantasy value
We break down the fantasy football implications of Matt Forte closing in on a full return from his hamstring injury.

This week, Forte made positive steps towards making a full return to action. That continued Wednesday as he was able to go through team drills for the first time since his injury, according to SNY.tv reporter Ralph Vacchiano.
Vacchiano adds that Forte looked fine during the drills, which included route-running and taking hits. This is a great sign for Forte being cleared for game action very soon.
Fantasy Spin: With Chris Ivory leaving this offseason, the Jets’ starting running back spot is Forte’s to lose. So long as he’s healthy, Forte will be a high-end RB2 each week with RB1 potential, especially in PPR leagues.
His current ADP makes him a nice bargain, especially if he winds up being your second running back drafted. Forte’s ability to be an impact on the ground as a workhorse back, as well as through the air when his team gets behind and abandons the run, makes him one of the safer backs you can have.
