Bears wide receiver Eddie Royal remains in the league’s concussion protocol, according to Chicago Tribune beat writer Brad Biggs.
Eddie Royal still in concussion protocol, keeping fantasy value low
Wide receiver Eddie Royal remains sidelined and buried on Bears depth chart. We look at the fantasy implications.

Royal, who has been sidelined for the past two weeks, is doing some work running routes, but has not been cleared to fully return to practice. Royal entered the league’s’ concussion protocol after being injured in practice on Aug. 1.
Fantasy spin: Royal, who endured an injury-plagued 2015 season after signing with the Bears the previous offseason, is currently third on the depth chart behind Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White. Royal played just nine games in 2015 because of knee and ankle injuries, after starring the previous two seasons for the Chargers, catching 109 passes and 15 touchdowns in 2013 and ‘14 combined.
Expected to play in the slot, Royal could have value in a pass-happy offense, but until he shows he can get back onto the field, he is late-round or waiver wire fodder at best.
