Make it eight. Usain Bolt won his second gold of the Rio Olympics and eighth overall as he raced to a 19.78 in a headwind in the 200 meters to win.
Olympics 2016: Usain Bolt wins men’s 200m run for 3rd straight gold
Bolt’s dominance is unstoppable. He ran 19.79 for another gold.

Bolt became the first athlete ever to win one event three times in a row after winning the 100 meters, and now he’s done it twice. He won the 200 meters in Beijing and London, and now he added a Rio gold to his collection on Thursday.
Andre De Grasse of Canada finished second in 20.02. The 21-year-old is, what the people like to call it, next in the world of sprinting. Cristophe Lemaitre of France won the bronze medal in 20.12.
Justin Gatlin, the athlete expected to challenge Bolt the most, failed to make the final. LaShawn Merritt of the U.S., who had won bronze in the 400 meters, finished out of the medals in sixth place in a time of 20.19.
Bolt had run 19.30 in Beijing and 19.32 in London to win. Now, Bolt will fight for one more gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay. If he can pull it off, it would be three straight years that he’s golden in all three sprint events.
