The second day of action from the 2016 Little League World Series takes place on Friday from Williamsport, Penn., with the conclusion of the opening round games in this double-elimination tournament.

ESPN will televise all four games on Friday, with online streaming of the Little League World Series available through WatchESPN.

Friday’s first game features Chofu Little League from Tokyo, Japan taking on Hastings Community Little League from Vancouver, British Columbia, the latter representing Canada. Hastings beat Whalley in a 1-0 thriller on Aug. 13 to claim the Canadian Little League title in front of a home crowd of over 4,000, to return to the Little League World Series after trips in 2009 and 2012.

“It says a lot for B.C. baseball. This is the best park to be in. I played here my whole life and I’ve coached here my whole life and it’s a great place to be. There’s nothing better than winning on your home field,” manager Vito Bordignon told Steve Ewen of The Province. “This gives us great confidence. We know that no matter the situation we can adapt and win.”

The other game on the international side of the bracket on Friday is East Seoul Little League from South Korea, representing Asia-Pacific, taking on the kids from Pariba Little League in Willemstad, Curacao, representing the Caribbean.

On the United States side of the bracket, Park View Little League in Chula Vista, representing the West, battles Johnston Little League from Iowa, representing the Midwest.

The day’s final contest features McAllister Park American Little League from San Antonio, representing the Southwest, taking on Bowling Green Eastern Little League from Kentucky, representing the Great Lakes region.

All times Eastern
