It’s the penultimate night of track and field in Rio, and Usain Bolt is making his final appearance. In what he says will be his final Olympic Games, Bolt is running for one more gold in the 4x100-meter relay on Friday night along with his Jamaican teammates.

Usain Bolt races for the final time as the men’s and women’s 4x100-meter relays headline the action.
The Jamaican men are the two-time-defending champions in the event, and with Bolt in the mix, it seems they’ll do it again. The U.S. team has struggled to finish the 4x100 -- whether because of disqualification or a dropped baton -- and hasn’t won the event since 2000. With Justin Gatlin, they should bring home a medal.
The U.S. women won in London, but the Jamaican women could make it tough for them to repeat. Elaine Thompson won the women’s 100 and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce finished third -- the Jamaican team is likely the favorite.
Other finals include the women’s 5,000 meters (featuring 10,000-meter world record holder Almaz Ayana of Ethiopia), and the women’s pole vault and the men’s hammer throw.
