Throwing a first pitch is a celebrity rite of passage and one that goes horribly a lot of the time. Frank Underwood spent hours practicing on House of Cards to get his right, 50 Cent taught the world how NOT to throw a first pitch, and now John McEnroe set the bar impossibly high for every celebrity to follow.
Sure it’s a ball, but McEnroe had some mustard on that thing. No moonshot that happened to make it to the catcher, no paltry one-hop in — dude just fired it in there. As a former athlete, we know McEnroe has abilities most celebrities don’t, but he’s also 57-years old. We could forgive him if this pitch was off.
