Now that the opening round is complete, the Little League World Series shifts to elimination games, with four teams fighting to stay alive on Saturday from Williamsport, Penn.

Four elimination games are schedule for Day 3


The teams that lose Saturday’s four games won’t be going home right away, however. Those four teams will match up for a pair of consolation games, one on Monday and another on Tuesday, with a United States team facing a team from the international bracket.
The ESPN family of networks is televising the entire Little League World Series, including three games on ESPN on Saturday plus the 3 p.m. ET game on ABC, with all games available for streaming on WatchESPN.
That 3 p.m. game is on the United States side of the bracket, with the Northwest team from Bend, Ore., facing off against Warwick, R.I., representing New England. Northwest lost on Thursday to Southeast 3-2, while New England dropped their opener to Mid-Atlantic, 7-2.
At 6 p.m., Japan takes on Caribbean in an elimination game after Japan on Friday lost a first-round game at the Little League Wold Series for the first time since 1965.
The four winners on Saturday each advance to play another elimination game on Monday, playing teams that lose on Sunday.
