The Olympic men’s football tournament comes to a conclusion on Saturday, with host nation Brazil going head-to-head with Germany for the gold medal after Nigeria have taken on Honduras in the earlier bronze medal match. The final is to be played at the historic Maracanã Stadium, and is sure to have the entire host nation enraptured. After their disappointing showing at the 2014 World Cup, they’ll be looking to avoid slipping up on home turf again this time around.
Brazil vs. Germany 2016: Time, TV schedule and news for Olympic soccer gold medal
Host nation Brazil take on Germany in the final of the Olympic men’s football tournament on Saturday.

The game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET. You can watch online and on your mobile device on NBC’s Olympics coverage.
Though Brazil certainly have the tournament’s best player in Barcelona attacker Neymar, Germany are a talented bunch in their own right. They’ve managed to assemble a squad that contains a handful of the top attacking talents on the planet at present, including the likes of Max Meyer and Julian Brandt. If they can keep Brazil’s key man quiet, they’re going to be confident that they have enough to win the match.
Neither of these sides have ever won the gold medal in men's football (though East Germany did it in 1976). Germany have already guaranteed themselves their best-ever finish, though Brazil has three silver medals including a runner-up finish to Mexico in London four years ago.
